Day 1:  Arrival in Vancouver
Meet & Greet at the Vancouver International Airport and transfer with a mini-tour of the city.
Accommodation in the Sheraton Hotel or a similar one on the Vancouver Bay.

Day 2:  Guided Tour of Vancouver
Picking up a car and start of the guided tour with a visit to the main areas of Downtown Vancouver. Guided excursion to Suspension Bridge and Capilano Hatchery (hatchery of salmons); visit to the parks of West Vancouver and to the giant trees of the Light House and Dundrave Park with a picnic on the sea; visit to Stanley Park and its Aquarium. Upon request, panoramic flight above Vancouver Bay and Georgia Strait. Optional visit to the M.O.A. Museum of Anthropology at the U.B.C. University of British Columbia. Dinner at the restaurant marked in our road book. Overnight stay at your Hotel.

Day 3:  Ferry Boat to Vancouver Island
Morning departure towards the location of Tsawwassen and boarding to Vancouver Island. Disembarkation in Victoria, capital of B.C., for a visit to its magnificent Butchart Gardens and the Inner Harbour, the beautiful area of the ancient harbor with its elegant colonial palaces. Straight after that, you will leave north, towards Nanaimo, with a stop in Chemanius to see the beautiful Murals. Proceeding west towards the Pacific Rim, before Port Alberni, stop in the Cathedral Grove with its centennial cedar trees. You will then get to Tofino and stay at the Ocean Village Resort in front of the Pacific Rim. No breakfast

Day 4:  Tofino and the Pacific Rim
Today you will start getting to know the Pacific Rim with your first boat trip to Meares Island, where you will admire the primordial forest of this island in front of Tofino bay. Then a trip to Long Beach, the longest beach on the island where surfer from all over the world meet all year long. Don’t try it, though, unless you are experienced with arctic waters!!! Finally, sunset along the West Coast Trail in Ucluelet. Dinner is included, in front of the magnificent Tofino bay.

Day 5:  Tofino and its Native villages – Campbell River

Today, trip to Shooner Cove with a picnic, getting to know the most beautiful beachcombing in the world. You will go back to being kids among the puddles of this magnificent bay, searching for amazing seashells, colored anemones and starfish. At the end of this excursion, you will leave towards Campell River, where you will stay overnight in the Painter’s Lodge, on the sea. Magnificent sunsets in front of the beautiful Quadra Island bay.

Day 6:  The Orcas of Telegraph Cove

In the morning, you will go North from Campbell River to reach Telegraph Cove from where, at 1 p.m., you will make the trip to observe the most beautiful marine orcas in the world, in the Johnson Strait, You will experience the emotion of seeing these magnificent animals swim underneath your boat and elegantly dive deep into the sea after showing you their amazing silhouettes. At the end of the trip, you will go to Port Hardy. Night in a cabin or a hotel.
(The following day, upon request, it is possible to have a 9-hour excursion to see the grizzlies of Knight Inlet. In that case, you will need to update the itinerary and the prince to add 1 more night).

Day 7 : The Inside Passage
Departure at 7.30 to the spectacular Inside Passage. Check in for boarding 2 hours earlier!!! During this crossing you will never be tired or bored because your attention will be focused on the thousands of chances of sightseeing from the ship’s deck. A landscape with fjords and huge canyons together with the arrival of orcas and dolphins underneath in this great day of quiet navigation. Arrival at Prince Rupert at 11 p.m. Night at the Crest or Coast Hotel, with breakfast

Day 8:  The Khutzeymateen Grizzlies
(available until August 10)
From the Prince Rupert harbor, you will leave for an interesting and exciting excursion of about 5/6 hours. You will be in close… visual contact with the most powerful and big of living carnivores, the grizzly bears of the Khutzeymateen Park’s sanctuary, in the heart of the Northern Great Bear Rainforest. At the end of the excursion or in the morning, you will move East to visit the site of the Native Indian nation, part of the larger system of Indian villages of the West, in Hazelton and New Hazelton, after Terrace: a place of great importance for the native culture. You will then proceed toward the Rockies, with a long trip to Burns Lake, after a visit to the falls on the Bulkley River, where the local Indians fish, with undeniable courage, with an ancient fishing system which is simply brave. Overnight stay at the Sunshine Inn with breakfast.

Day 9: Long trip
Today a long trip to get closer to the Rockies. You will get to Prince George in the afternoon. Night at the Ramada Hotel.

Day 10: Mount Robson – Arrival in Jasper
The view of Mount Robson, the highest mountain in the Rockies, will tell you you have arrived at the Canadian Rocky Mountains. You will see it after a couple hours of travelling along the Yellowhead Highway, before getting to Jasper, and proceeding East, you will get, after an hour, to the beautiful Maligne Lake, on whose waters you will take a small cruise. In the area of Maligne Lake you will have an excursion to Maligne Canyon with its web of underground channels that reach another lake: one of the naturalistic wonders of this area. Overnight stay at the Maligne Lodge or at the Tonquin Inn or a similar one.

Day 11:  Descent along the Icefield Parkway
During this day, we will improve our knowledge of the Jasper National Park, the largest park in the Rockies, with its almost 11 thousand square kilometers of wild mountainous territory. Your day will be entirely dedicated to driving southward this part of the magnificent Icefield Parkway, the panoramic highway, true spinal column of the Rocky Mountains and of their system of open parks. It has been called the most beautiful panoramic road in the world because of the great quantity of wild animals that can be seen while driving along it, from grizzlies to wolves, to large deers and huge bull moose. Along the road, stopping by the Icefield Visitors Center, you will make the nice hike with an ice coach on one of the Columbia Icefield glaciers.

Day 12: Jasper Park – Start of Photo Safari in Icefield Parkway

Today you will continue the descent along the Icefield Parkway and you will exploit the fact that you are in the Rockies area most packed with animals to do a photo safari! Dawn in the best moment to find the animals pasturing. Thanks to the indications in our road book, you will follow the secondary roads to get close to the highest number of animals. Then you will go south to start visiting the most beautiful lakes in Northern America. You will begin by reaching the top of the Bow pass, with the scenography of the view of the Peyto Lake underneath. Continuing south, in the evening you will reach Banff, the delicious mountain village that is your final destination in the Rockies, where you will stay at the Banff Inn or Aspen Hotel or a similar one. Breakfast is included.

Day 13: Lake Louise, the Continental Divide and the Moraine Lake

Today you will leave from Banff to visit, first, the surroundings of the amazing Lake Louise. You will begin an unforgettable hike: a magnificent walk towards the top of the mountains that, starting from the lake’s banks, will take you to the spectacular viewpoint of the plain of the 6 Glaciers. In the afternoon, you will visit, a few km away from Lake Louise, its twin lake, the Moraine Lake, to enjoy its unmistakable landscapes. You will then go back to Banff. Once there, you will have dinner in a great restaurant marked in the road book. Overnight stay at your hotel at Banff Inn or Aspen’s. Breakfast is included.

Day 14: The wonderful Banff

Today, you will begin your visit to Banff from the historical place of birth of the village, The Cave and The Basin Historical Site with the most ancient and famous museum dedicated to the Rocky Mountains. You will then take a trip by cableway, Banff’s Gondola, to the mountain that stands in front of the village and then to the Sulphur Mountains, almost 3000 meters high. This evening, once you get back to your hotel in Baff and change, you will have dinner, offered by Le Reve House at the marked restaurant.

Day 15: From Banff to Calgary – end of the trip

Today, starting from Banff and only travelling for about one hour and a half, you will get to Calgary, where, if you want to, you will be able to go shopping, and then reach the airport, give back the rented car and reach the right terminal for your return flight.
