Trip to California – from San Francisco to Los Angeles

First Day: Arrival in San Francisco
Arrival at San Francisco International Airport, rental car hire and transfer to the city, where we will arrange at the Pacific Heights Hotel, 3 star, or Holiday Inn Civic Center, 3 star, in the center, in a double room with breakfast. In the remaining time, it’s possible a self-guided tour of the city that is almost entirely accessible on foot, but if we prefer, we can take the 49 Mile Scenic Drive. Following an easy route of about 79 km, well marked by white and blue signs, we will be able to visit many attractions. If we prefer guided tours, we can opt for the many marked tours
in our road book, which shows the most interesting stages of the city and its hinterland.
Free dinner and overnight stay.

Second Day: San Francisco
After breakfast, pickup at our hotel to join the guided tour by coach bus that, after passing through the scenic Sierra Nevada, will take us to visit Yosemite Park. During the tour we will trek for about one hour in Tuolumne Grove, we will stop at the Inspiration Point to admire (and photograph) the Half Dom and we will be able to practice a variety of activities, including a tour at the Visitor Center; all with the descriptions and comments of the expert guide.
At the end of the tour, we will be re-escorted to our San Francisco hotel for dinner (not included) and overnight stay.

Third Day: San Francisco – Three Rivers – 256 m.
This afternoon, after breakfast, we will be taken from our hotel to take the eight hour guided tour of the city. We will visit the major attractions of San Francisco such as the island of Alcatraz, China Town, The Fisherman Wharf, the Golden Gate and North Beach. In the late afternoon departure for Three Rivers, at the Sequoia National Park boundaries. Arrival in the evening and accommodation at the Three Rivers Lodge.

Fourth Day: Sequoia National Park
After one hearty breakfast, full day guided hike to the Sequoia National Park: large trees, high peaks and deep canyons. In the subsoil there are over 200 marble caves with endemic fauna. A wide variety of habitats where you can observe a wide variety of plants: 1,200 species that make up dozens of unique plant communities. It is difficult to appreciate the size of giant sequoia because the nearby trees are all huge. The real age of the sequoia known as General Sherman and General Grant is unknown, but it is estimated that these giants are between 1800 and 2700 years. Pick up and drop off at our hotel.
At the end of the excursion, return and overnight at the same Lodge.

Fifth day: Moving to south – Los Angeles – 200 m.
In the morning, transfer to Los Angeles. Arrival late in the morning and accommodation at the hotel near Holywood Hill.
Afternoon: visit to Movie Studios, Universal and Warner Bros.
Return to hotel and overnight stay.

Sixth Day: Los Angeles
Day dedicated to the visit of L.A. using the service Hop- &-Off:we go up the bus and go down to the places we most want to visit, with the advice of our roadbook, and then each time we pick up another bus, on the same line, to our liking.

So available time, dinner (not included)) and overnight stay in the same hotel.

Seventh Day: Los Angeles – Palm Springs – 105 m.
In the morning transfer to Palm Springs, a true oasis in the desert that is returning to its days of glory, in a location that is also a place for lovers of modern architecture, musicians and artists inspired by nature and for those looking for a cool retreat
from Californian hot. After our arrival, in the late morning and hotel accommodation, in the afternoon, we expect a 4wd or hot air balloon or helicopter trip on the desert. Alternatively, on request, hike to the Indian Canyons </ span>.
Return to hotel, dinner (not included) and overnight stay.

Eighth Day: Palm Springs – San Diego – 125 m.
In the morning, after breakfast, transfer to San Diego and accommodation at the Hotel. The afternoon will be dedicated to one of the many excursions and visits possible without departing much from the city:
– to various beaches, such as Mission Beach and Coronado Beach
– Balboa Park, with its many attractions such as the Old Globe Theater, the three art museums of La Casa de Balboa and much more. But the park is also suitable for walking and biking
– at the Torrey Pine State Reserve, for a wonderful trekking between the varied flora and the long beaches
– At Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, reachable by car, but the effort is worth it, given the breathtaking views that the park offers.
Then there are various museums such as the Maritime Museum and the USS Midway Museum
Return to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Ninth Day: San Diego – Los Angeles – 125 m. – return flight
After breakfast, transfer to Los Angeles International Airport, return of rented car and return flight.
