In the remaining free time, we can make a self-guided tour of the city, which is almost entirely accessible on foot, but if we prefer so we can go on the 49th Mile Scenic Drive. Following an easy path, about 50 miles, well indicated by white and blue signposts, we will be able to visit many attraction sites. If we wantr guided tours, we can opt for the many tours that will let you know the most interesting parts of the city and its hinterland that are reported in our road-book. Dinner, not included, and overnight stay.

Second Day: San Francisco
After breakfast, pick-up at our hotel to join the guided tour on bus coach that, after crossing the scenic Sierra Nevada, will take us to visit the Yosemite Park. During the tour we will hike for about an hour in Tuolumne Grove, we will stop at the Inspiration Point to admire (and photograph) the Half Dom and we will be able to practice a variety of activities, such as a tour at the Visitor Center; all with the expert guide’s commentary.

This morning, after breakfast, we will be taken away

In the afternoon transfer to Monterey, where we will arrive after about 2/3 hours of driving. After staying in our 3 * hotel, we will have time to visit the city: do not miss the Cannery Row, famous for John Steinbeck’s novel, and Fisherman’s Wharf.
In the evening, dinner (not included) and overnight stay.

Fourth Day: Monterey and Carmel-by-the-sea
An exciting whale watching tour is scheduled for about 3 hours and 30 minutes, off the coast of Monterey. In the afternoon the Monterey Aquarium, considered one of the greatest and most beautiful in the world, is waiting for us. In the evening, dinner (not included) and overnight stay.

Driving on Highway 1 we will cross the Big Sur, along a path considered among the most scenic in the US, if not of the world. The road has several pitches placed in the most scenic spots, to allow motorists to stop and admire the landscape. The mountains retain much of the cloud’s moisture, often in the form of misty morning mist, creating a favorable environment for forests, which include the southernmost habitat for sequoia. Arrival at Santa Barbara in the afternoon and accommodation at the hotel, ready to jump on a quad and go for a fun and panoramic two hour guided hike on the heights of Santa Barbara.
At the end, return to the hotel, dinner (not included) and overnight stay.

Sixth Day: Santa Barbara – Los Angeles (100 miles along the coast
The coast between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles is, to say the least, spectacular and crosses famous resorts and beaches such as Ventura, with its small restaurants and cafes along the beach – Malibu, renowned for its beaches and being the site chosen by many “celebrities” for their sumptuous homes – Santa Monica, at the end of the old Route 66, with its classic atmospheres of California’s sand and surf …
