The Rockies and Yellowstone
First Day : Brooks
After having arrived at Calgary’s airport, you will pick up your rental car and then will be transferred to Brooks for accommodation in a hotel. In order to reduce the effects of jet-lag, taking the rest of the day you’ll have a relaxing visit to the Lakeside Leisure Centre, a modern fitness and wellness center, built in 2004. Here you will have at your disposal a restaurant, an outdoor pool, hot water tub, sauna, waterslide for the kids, a fitness centre, curling rink and of course a locker to store your personal belongings. Return back to your hotel, dinner and night stay.

Second Day : Writing on the Stones Provincial Park, the Black Foot natives
Your next destination is the “Writing on the Stones Provincial Park”. A place of great historical and natural interest, not only for the beautiful landscapes of coulees and hoodos alternating with vast expanses of grass and mountains in the background, but also for the many petroglyphs and many paintings and sculptures of the natives of North America. In fact, this Park protects an area which is very spiritually meaningful to the Blackfoot tribes, whose culture is based on a historical and intimate relationship with this land. Moreover, the winding path of the Milk River, the river that runs through the Park, is a godsend for lovers of canoeing and nature observation. Third Day : Dinosaur Provincial Park and Drumheller
Today you will visit Dinosaur Provincial Park, 50 miles from Brooks: this is an entire day’s excursion to the “Valley of the dinosaurs” in the Badlands. The Dinosaur Provincial Park and is one of the most important sites of dinosaur fossils in the world. In this area remains of about 35 species of dinosaurs were found , along with various skeletons of crocodiles, turtles, frogs, fish, lizards and flying reptiles. The Park, was founded in 1955 and recognized by UNESCO in 1979, then in 1985, after the opening of the Royal Tyrrell Museum (100 km to the North), it became the “Field station”. At the end of your tour, return to the hotel (Heartwood Inn and spa) or other cat., free dinner and overnight.

Fourth and Fifth Days : Seebe
After breakfast, transfer to Seebe and accommodation at Rafter Six Ranch Resort. Here you’ll spend two exciting days devoted to western style. The Ranch has a wide variety of activities and exciting adventures including day and overnight guided horseback riding through the scenic Bow Valley and Kananaskis Country. You will experience an exhilarating whitewater rafting along the Kananaskis River; you can try in a challenging ropes course in the treetops and zip-lining in pine forests; there is mountain biking, trekking with friendly dogs, swimming in the outdoor heated swimming pool (from June to September), or relaxing in jacuzzi. Drumheller-Seebe: 125 miles
Sixth and Seventh Days: Banff National Park
In the morning of the sixth day, after breakfast, you will go to Banff and, after having settled into your comfortable hotel, you will start the exploration of the parks of the Rockies, starting, of course, with Banff.
A must-see is an ascent by “gondola”, which will take you up to the Sulphur Mountains, to enjoy a magnificent 360 degree view on the panorama of the Rockies. You will have two days of eco-nature tours where you’ll find treasures such as the Lake Louise and the other lakes in the area, the Takakawa Falls in Yoho National park and much more along one of the world’s most scenic roads, highway 93, or Icefield Parkway, the motorway of the parks.
You will see the beautiful wild animals of the area: grizzlies, wolves, big deer, giant bull moose, and other species. Accommodation in Banff, Fox Hotel with Spa inside of it, with breakfast included.

Eighth and Ninth Days: Kootenay National Park
Kootenay National Park is located in the southwestern region of the Canadian Rockies and is known for its variety of landscapes and its extremely rich ecosystem. Take the Trans Canada Highway, right from access point located at Castle Junction in Banff National Park, then proceed to Highway 93 South, also called the Kootenay Parkway. From here you will leave the State of Alberta to arrive in British Columbia. You then head inside the Park, where you will spend two intense days immersed in a wonderful nature, staying in an isolated eco-friendly accommodation. A large number of outdoor activities are available, including hiking, rafting, canoeing, mountain biking, and numerous programs for both youngsters and adults. Accommodation for two nights, full board, at Kootenay Park Lodge, in the heart of the Park.

Tenth Day : Calgary
Back to the East 93, you will reach Calgary, your last stop in Canada before moving to the States. After releasing your rental car and being accommodated in a hotel, in double room with breakfast, enjoy the rest of the day to take advantage of this last opportunity to Canadian shopping and getting to know some of the attractions that this city offers vibrant and modern, including the Telus Spark New Science Center, Calway Park, the Tower and the Zoo. When finished, you will return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Eleventh Day : Towards the States
Today you will have an interesting stage of transfer, after which you will find yourself in the States. In the morning, you in fact aboard a comfortable Van to be transferred to the Great Falls, Montana. Upon arrival, accommodation in a hotel, free time. If you want to, you can jump aboard the Great Falls Historic Trolley, for a cultural and historical background view of the city and to see, apart from everything else, the falls that gave the name to the area. Checking in a double room with breakfast.

Twelfth Day : Glacier National Park
After having withdrawn your new car, you will head to Whitefish, a town surrounded by many lakes and rivers, rich in fauna: bears, wolves, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, elks, deer, eagles, marmots and grouse.
The clue of the day will be an excursion to Glacier National Park, a paradise for lovers of trekking. Don’t miss a trip on the “Going to the Sun Road” (a beautiful scenic route, the one that runs through the Park), which offers the most beautiful sceneries of northwestern Montana. The many attractions of this beautiful park include Virginia Falls, St. Mary Falls, Logan Pass Hidden Lake and Flathead Lake. Arrival in the evening, dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.

Thirteenth Day : the Flathead National Forest
Today you will begin your journey to the Yellowstone National Park, crossing the Flathead National Forest, right in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, West of the continental divide and right to the south of Canadian border. The forest embraces three protected natural areas, including the famous Bob Marshall Wilderness, and extends over a territory of 2.4 million acres.
Here, among other species, you can see lynx, grizzly bears and bulltrouts. With its numerous lakes, streams and rivers, the Flathead National Forest is a destination favored by tourists and visitors who are eager to admire the beautiful natural landscapes of the American West. After this exciting day devoted entirely to wildwatching, you will get to Butte, about 400 km away. Dinner and overnight stay at the Grand Lodge Crested Butte.

Fourteenth and Fifteenth Days : Yellowstone!
As of today, three intense days await you to stay in the most famous and ancient natural park in the world. On one of these days, upon your choice, you can join a guided safari to discover more resources in this area: geysers (including Old faithful), hot springs, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone River, the Upper and Lower Falls and finally the beautiful wildlife. Nature experts will illustrate you and tell you everything in detail. In the remaining two days, you can enjoy the numerous outdoor activities that you can practice inside the Park. Among these, you can choose to venture along the numerous paths (approx. 200 km), ideal for trekking, sail a boat down the rivers, or do horseback riding and fishing. You’ll also get an opportunity to play daily safari “targeted” for observation of a particular species of animals. Or as an alternative, spend all three days for safari or trekking.
Butte-Yellowstone: 186 miles (approx.)
Seventeenth Day : the Big Apple
Transfer to the airport early in the morning. Here, after you have delivered your car, we will be embarking on a direct flight to New York, the last leg of your trip. You will be accommodated in a hotel and after that you’ll have a tasty lunch in one of the restaurants recommended by the Road book. You cannot leave New York without climbing on the Top of the Rock, one of the highest points in New York, within the Rockefeller and so ‘look down on the city along with the wonderful Central Park. To conclude your short stay in the Big Apple, we suggest a walk at sunset along the Brooklyn Bridge and an evening visit to Times Square where you can dine. Return to the hotel to spend your last night on the new continent.
Eighteenth Day : Return flight
After breakfast you will be transfered by shuttle to the airport for your return flight.
