From Vancouver to Victoria and the Rockies
Day 1 Arrival in Vancouver
Upon arrival at Vancouver International Airport, one of our representatives will greet you. He will accompany you to your hotel or B&B. Check in for your overnight stay (breakfast is included)..
Day 2 Vancouver and Kelowna
Self-guided tour of Vancouver using the Road Book, or guided on request. Enjoy the main areas and attractions of Downtown Vancouver; Stanley Park, the Vancouver Aquarium and seawall; the Lions Gate Bridge; the residential areas of the North Shore; and West Marine Drive and Dundarave Park, with a snack in one of the local restaurants. In the afternoon, you will pick up your rental car and head to Kelowna, the lake region of the Okanagan and a renowned Canadian location for fruit and wine production. Overnight stay in a B&B or motel in front of Lake Kelowna. Breakfast is included.
Day 3 Jasper and Maligne Lake
Early in the morning, depart for Jasper, your first destination of the Rocky Mountains. Having arrived in the area, continue going Southeast until Maligne Lake. One of the most fascinating excursions of the day is the cruise around Maligne Lake, which includes a trip to Maligne Canyon to view its network of underground channels. In the evening, relax in Jasper and enjoy dinner out at a restaurant. Overnight stay in a motel or B&B, with breakfast included.
Day 4 From Jasper to Lake Louise
Today you will go south and explore the vast Jasper Park along one of the world’s most spectacular highways, the Icefield Parkway, which serves as the backbone of the Rockies connecting all the major sights. This area is known for a large number of wild animals, and this beautiful road trip will take you to Athabasca falls, another wonder of the Rockies. Then, we’ll reach Columbia glaciers where you will take a scheduled glacier excursion on board of the Ice Coach, then proceed to the beautiful lakes of the area. In the evening you will arrive at your B&B on the magnificent Lake Louise, where you’ll stay for the night (breakfast included).
Day 5 From Lake Louise in Banff
After breakfast, set out to discover the beautiful Lake Louise and its surroundings with a light hike along a path which leads from the base of the lake to the viewpoint of The Plain of Six Glaciers. In the afternoon, you can visit Moraine Lake, a twin of Lake Louise just a few miles away. It is famous for its charming surroundings and spectacular scenic trails. In the evening you will reach Banff, and check in to your B&B (breakfast included).
Day 6 Banff, Museum and Sulphur Mountain. Descent to Okanagan
In the morning you will visit the Museum of the Rockies. After a short tour of Banff, take the Gondola of Banff up to one of the most spectacular viewpoints of the region on Sulphur Mountain Rock. In the very early afternoon, you will head back to Okanagan. This time you will concentrate on Kamloops, and stay overnight in a hotel with breakfast.
Day 7 VictoriaAfter breakfast you will head to Vancouver and embark on the ferry to Victoria, the administrative capital of B.C. As soon as you arrive, you will visit the magnificent Butchart Gardens, which boasts one of the largest flower collections in the world. Then, you will move toward the town of Victoria and explore the Inner Harbour, the ancient port surrounding by historic Victoria buildings which served as a post for trading fur, coal and gold. Overnight stay at your motel or B&B with breakfast.
Day 8 The Orcas
In the morning, your program includes a fascinating whale-watching trip to see the orcas and whales of Oak Bay, by raft or comfortable speedboat. At the end, you will head to the Cowichan Valley and town of Duncan. Along the way, enjoy the scenic views of the coastline. After having seen the centre of Duncan, with its numerous totem poles of the Salish peoples, continue on to the town of Chemainus to view its unique murals. Upon arrival at your destination, check in to your lodge or B&B for an overnight stay on Cowichan Bay. Breakfast is included.
Day 9 Return flight
In the morning, transfer to Nanaimo and get on a ferry to Vancouver. You may have some free time for shopping, before heading back to Vancouver International Airport for your return flight.
