The North Shore with its Forests, Rivers and Salmon – Visit to Capilano Hatchery
Third Day Departure for Campbell River
To Vancouver Island via Ferry– landing at Nanaimo, from where you continue immediately to Campbell River – night at the Painter’s Lodge
Fourth Day Departure to Telegraph Cove
– Excursion to the Johnstone Strait Killer whales – Night at Telegraph Cove.
The Johnstone Strait is the strait that brings two portions of land closer between Vancouver Island and the mainland. This proximity of the two territories is even greater at other points where the distance between the mainland and the island becomes almost imperceptible. This condition has allowed the phenomenon of a vast exchange of fauna between the two areas at various times, and still happens. The Grizzlies themselves have been spotted on Vancouver Island although official information denies their presence on the island.
Fifth Day Moving to Port Hardy
– Ferry to Bella Coola –
With this crossing you will know the beautiful part of the inner Inside Passage, the one that winds through the fjords, between Vancouver Island and the coast of the mainland. Night by ferry.

Sixth Day Arrival in Bella Coola
– Accommodation at the Lodge ** – First Briefing on your days at the Lodge.
Seventh and Eighth Day 2 days of Safari
Two days excursion of the Great Bear Rainforest wildlife photos accompanied by two guides, 2 ethologists specialized in the study of Plantrigrades and aquatic mammals.
Excursions will take place on board of boats, like a large motorboat and on large inflatable boats, and on board 4X4 cars. Each exit will be preceded by a breefing in order to explain the phases of the excursion and what is expected during this, as well as to provide information on the fauna and the territory inhabited by it and the consequent behavior to be kept in their presence.
The stay is in Lodge ** inside the Reserve, in full board with breakfast and dinner at the Lodge and a packed lunch for the days on the excursion.
Ninth Day Relax at your Lodge – more Photos
Today is a day of relaxation, to be spent more than anything else to observe some possible findings collected and held during excursions: from the photos to the footsteps – collected in plaster molds, or organic artifacts of animals such as hairs and sometimes bones or teeth of large carnivores or even cetaceans of the Reserve. In addition, you can go on tour to take pictures of places visited, paying more attention to the beauty of the landscape, with the possibility of still doing some… nice meeting.
Tenth Day Return
We leave by car to return to Vancouver, passing first by Anahim Lake and then arriving at Williams Lake. This rather long stage will still offer the opportunity to admire a lush and unspoiled nature and its beautiful landscapes. Night in Hotel in Williams Lake.
Eleventh Day Arrival in Vancouver – Journey’s end
Continuing the journey back to Vancouver, you will pass through several towns and villages where you will have the opportunity to contemplate one of the most beautiful roads in the region, the one that arrives in Whistler, the most famous ski resort in America. It’s the Sea to Sky Highway, which will take you directly to Vancouver, where you will arrive in the evening and where you will stay at your downtown Hotel. In the afternoon transfer to the airport for your return flight.
