Inside Passages: From Canada to Alaska
Navigation along the Inside Passage will offer you some of the most spectacular coastal landscapes on this continent. This has always been a popular excursion for kayaking, canoeing and sailing and appassionate people of these activities, will be able to sail through narrow channels and hundreds of small and large unexplored islands.
The Canadian side of the Inside Passage stretches from Port Hardy on Vancouver Island to Prince Rupert, along the protected water of the northern and central coast of British Columbia. In 1996, the local ferry company has launched a new Discovery Coast Passage route as the central coast was inaccessible until then, not only by land but also by sea.
In Alaska, the Inside Passage is 800 km long and 160 km wide and includes about 1,000 islands and 24.000 km of coastline together with thousands of coves and inlets.
