Salmon heaven trophy adventure

Skeena River and Nass River waters  and those of their tributaries are known  to host the largest king salmon in the world (a record monstrous king salmon weighing nearly 100 pounds was caught and released by a local fisherman in 2001). The number and size of salmon entering  these rivers every year is impressive. You’ll fish in Kitimat, Kalum and  Copper river,  in the high course of Skeena river and in other  exclusive rivers, along stretches that can only be reached by boats steered by our guides, the best in the area. Get ready for an unmatched scenario here in the Northern Territories of British Columbia, in western Canada, with salmon, large in size and number, jumping out and diving in all over.Our partners’ first class guides will take you fishing the largest  king and  silver salmon, putting  your rods, and especially your arms, to the test. Sokaye and pink salmon will be the starter and the fun of the day, especially fly fishing them. Quite often,  having hooked a chum salmon, you’ll feel like you have hooked a remarkable king salmon, deceived  by the size and strength of dogs, as chum salmon are confidentially called here. For spinning launchers: 8 / 9 feet long rods with a 2  spools reel,  a 12 to 25 pounds test mono-file for king salmon fishing, with a  spare  mono-file spool for others salmon. Recommended rods are 9 to10 feet long rods for single  action fly fishing and 14 feet long rods for two-handed spey fishing, with  7/8wt and 8/9wt tails. Moreover we suggest a  multi-type set (of lures???),  both floating and sinking, of various weights. The types from 150 to 450 grains are the best . Obviously, reels must be long range ones with  interchangeable spools to face different water conditions. Mono-file for leader will be from 8 lb to 20 lb. You’ll also be supplied with spey rods in  case you’d ask for them and if river waters condition would allow this kind of fishing Coming back from your adventures, after 9 / 10 fishing hours, you’ll be exhausted but happy ….. to be welcomed by the friendly and comfortable atmosphere of the motel run by the family of our chief guide, a  partner in this unforgettable fishing holiday proposal.
