Trip to Canada – Maritime Quebec 15 days
First Day – Flight to Toronto
Upon your arrival at Toronto International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative who will accompany you to your Hotel. The rest of the day will be at your disposal for the first contact with the city. Before your return to the hotel, dinner is offered by Le Reve in a downtown elegant restaurant.
At the end of dinner, return to Hotel and overnight stay.
Second Day – Niagara Falls
After breakfast you will be taken out of your hotel for the tour of 8 hours – of which 3 for the round trip –
to famous Niagara Falls. The tour includes a short break to the delightful Niagara-on-the Lake village, with a visit to a winery for tasting a good local wine. The highlight of the day will of course be the on-board tour of the “Maid of the Mist” that will take you as close as possible to the waterfalls. An interesting additional option will be the “Journey Behind the Falls”. At the end of the tour you will be accompanied back at your Toronto Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Third day – Quebec City
Immediately after your breakfast you will be at the airport to take the plane to Quebec City where, on your arrival, you will be welcomed by our representative who will take you to the hotel where you will stay for two nights.
The rest of the day will be available for a brief guided tour through our roadbook.
So, free dinner and overnight stay.
Fourth Day – Quebec City
In the morning, visit the city with roadbook (or with guide, on request). Quebec boasts beautiful places to visit such as the Frontenac Castle, the Citadel, Place Royale, the Notre Dame de Quebec Basilica, interesting museums and much more. The excursion to the Cote de Beaupré, scheduled for the afternoon, will take place along the 25 miles of “chemin du Roy”, through pretty villages of pure French tradition. You will stay at the famous sanctuary of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré and visit the Montmorency waterfall, once and a half higher than the Niagara Falls. Finally, we will take a short tour of the island of Orléans, where is the village of Sainte Petronille, to relive the picturesque charm of rural life of the 19th century.
At the end, return to Hotel, free dinner and overnight stay.
Fifth Day – Tadoussac – Parco marino du Saguenay
After breakfast and having taken your rental car, you will transfer to Tadoussac (135 m.) the ideal base for whale watching excursions in the marine park. The outdoor activities that can be carried out are, among other things, observation of cetaceans both by boat and / or kayak, as well as by the shore, trekking along the banks of the fjord leading to the enjoyment of spectacular landscapes, kayaking in the fjord waters.
Sixth Day – La Gaspesie
Today, after breakfast, you will begin the transfer stage north, with destination Sainte-Anne-des-Montes (178 m + ferry). The stage involves the ferry transfer from Baie-Comeau to Matane, on the north coast of La Gaspesie peninsula. During the two-hour crossing you can see the beautiful views of the Saint Lawrence Estuary from a privileged point of view. The motorway is equally scenic. Once you have landed at Matane, we recommend a visit to the headlights of the Madeleine Center and the Martre.
You will arrive late in the afternoon or in the evening and settle in your 3/4 star hotel in a double room with breakfast. Any remaining time will be available. Then come back to the hotel and overnight stay.
Seventh Day – Parc National de la Gaspesie
This day, after the usual breakfast, will be dedicated to 3 hour boat excursions to observe whales. Rest of the day available. Alternatively, If you like hiking, you could join a hike through the tundra along a 5 m route. to reach the top of Mount Jacques Cartier, the highest in South Quebec. The area is the most favorable for observing the Wood Caribou. If, instead, paddling is your strong, you can take a guided hike for 8 hours along the coast.
In the evening, return to the hotel, free dinner and overnight stay.
Eighth Day – Percé
The journey through the Gaspesie continues today along the northern coast of the peninsula until reaching Forillon Park, near Gaspé and from here to the south, to today’s destination, Percè (170 m). From here, after settling in your Hotel, you will board in the afternoon for an excursion to Bonaventure Island and the Rock Percé.
At the end of the free dinner, return to the hotel and overnight stay in a double room with sea view.
Ninth Day – Parc Nationale de Miguasha
Continue along the southern coast of Gaspesie southwest, from Percé to Miguasha Park (133 m) for a visit to the interesting natural history museum. Continuing along the coast, always in the southwest, after about thirty miles, at the Matapedia community, the road 132 moves decisively north and crosses the Gaspesie’s interior to reach the northern coast of the peninsula. Visit the Jardins de Metis recommended (see the roadbook).
After transfer to Rimouski (146 m from Miguasha).
Accommodation in hotels and overnight stay.
Tenth Day – Les Portes de l’Infer and Riviere-du-Loup
You can devote this morning to trekking in a picturesque area called Portes de l’Infer, 17 m away. by Rimouski. Then you will transfer to Riviere du Loup (67 m from Rimouski). Arrival in the afternoon and accommodation in Hotel. Rest of the day available. A visit to the Parc Des Chutes is recommended.
Free Dinner. Return to Hotel and Overnight.
Eleventh day – Quebec City
Today we will return to Quebec City (128 m.) and, after settled in the hotel, we will have the rest of the day available to complete the city visit and / or visit a place or museum left over in our previous stay for lack of time.
Return to hotel and overnight stay.
Twelfth, Thirteenth and Fourteenth Days – Montreal
After Toronto and Quebec City, the last part of the trip will be focused on visiting the other two major cities of Quebec, Montreal and Ottawa. We will then move to Montreal (251 km from Quebec City)
and we will settle at the hotel. After returning the rental car (alternative on quotation) in the afternoon we will be taken from our Hotel for a guided tour to the city’s most important places: Mont Royal, St Joseph’s Oratory, underground city with over 500 shops, Old Montreal, Place D’Armes and the imposing Notre Dame Basilica.
At the end return to the Hotel and overnight stay.
Next day: Excursion to Ottawa
This morning, between 7 am and 8 pm, in front of your hotel, on the comfortable coach, you will visit Ottawa for the city’s 12-hour tour with certified professional guides. You will see, among other things, the Parliament Building, the Change of Guard, China Town and Little Italy, and visit the Canadian Museum of Civilization and the National Arts Center. At the end of this intense day, you will be accompanied back in Hotel in Montreal for dinner and overnight stay.
Last day in Montreal
Today’s visit to the Laurentian Mountains will last approximately 9 hours. Pick-up and return will be, as usual, in front of your Hotel. The tour includes visiting several small, traditional “french style” villages, stopping at some lookouts to enjoy the magnificent scenery, a mini-cruise on the Lac des Sables, and more. Of course, you will be accompanied by an experienced guide.
At the end of the excursion, return to the hotel and overnight.
Fifteenth Day – return flight
Today, unfortunately, the journey ends. Still a few hours dedicated to shopping, then transfer to the airport,
returning of rented car (alternative on request, with relative price increasing) and return flight.
