Wonderful Costa Rica – the Biosphere among Volcanoes and Parks
Itinerary :
First Day – Arrival in San Josè
Arrival, picked up the rented car and self-managed transfer (directions in road book) to all 4 star hotels, in double room with breakfast in San Jose – any time left on hand. Free dinner and overnight stay
Second Day – Guanacaste (sito UNESCO) – Playa Flamingo
self-guided tour to the city and its museums with the help of the roadbook
Afternoon: transfer to Playa Flamingo (275 km in 4-5 hours), Guanacaste province on the northwest coast of the country. Arrival in the evening and accommodation in a 3/4-star hotel including breakfast
Third and Fourth Days – Playa Flamingo
Two days of relaxation on this beautiful beach on the Pacific Ocean with the possibility of practicing various activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, horse riding, golf, etc … all bookable on request. In addition, from December to February, it is possible to arrange excursions for the observation of the laying of sea turtle and / or hatch eggs, of course in very small groups (max 4 pax)
so as not to disturb the beautiful reptiles in these delicate moments of their lives.

3rd Day: ATV guided tour to the Monkey Shrine
4th Day : Night tour sightseeing turtles (from Dec to Feb)
On request: 4 hours excursion by boat – fishing and snorkeling
Fifth Day – Arenal Lake
Morning breakfast and transfer to the lodge on Lake Arenal (300 km / 3 hours and 20 mins).
Arrival in the afternoon and accommodation in double room with breakfast.

Sixth Day – The Rainforest of the Selva Leona
At 7:15, after breakfast, you will be taken away from your hotel, for a 8-hour guided hike, by boat, on foot and on horseback, in Sierra Leona, the unspoiled rainforest on Lake Arenal: accompanied by 2 expert guides, you will have the chance to spot many species of birds, including quetzal. Three species of monkeys abound in this region, among which, the screaming monkey is the most widespread. During the excursion you will taste an authentic Tico barbeque, a typical Costa Rican meal, cooked and served by native Ticos. For this excursion a good physical condition is required. At the end, return to lodges, leisure and overnight stay
Seventh Day – Arenal Volcano
Day dedicated to excursion to the Arenal Volcano, less than half an hour drive from your lodge. The Volcano is part of the Parque Nacional Volcano Arenal, which is the most important attraction and one of the most visited destinations in Costa Rica. In the afternoon, a guided hike in the volcano area with a focus on thermal springs.
When returning, free dinner and overnight stay.
Eighth Day – San Josè
Breakfast and transfer to San Jose (170 km, 4 hours). Arrival late in the morning and accommodation in the same hotel of the first day *. Rest of the day free, to visit the city and / or eventual shopping.
Ninth Day – Return
After breakfast, free time, then transfer to the airport, return car hired and return flight
